About Me

about me

Hi there! Thank you for stopping by my website.

My name is Corina but I go by Cori. I live in Houston, Texas. I’m a mom to 5 adult kids, a grandma or “Mana” (as grandsons call me) to 6 beautiful littles and I’m a furmom to two 9-year-old pit bulls.

When I’m not blogging or working with clients, I’m hanging out with the hubs either at a rock concert, our favorite Mexican restaurant or we just get on his Harley Davidson Streetglide and take off!

Or you’ll find me at my church volunteering.

I love a nice cold beer, a frozen margarita or a glass of red wine. Not all at once although I could have handled all that when I was young, hehe!

And I’m a big-time Stephen King fan and a new collector of his novels.

Before I started working from home, I worked in Corporate America as a sales manager and team leader.

Then in 2007, I had enough of the long hours and missing out on my kids growing up so I quit my job. That was the scariest thing I had ever done in my life! I had no plan whatsoever but there was no turning back.

About My Blogging Journey

I started researching work-from-home jobs and would share what I found with friends and family.

On March 2011, I launched my first blog Work-from-Home Concepts but I had no clue what to do. And talk about mistakes! I made a hella lot of ’em beginning with my website.

It wasn’t until another blogger told me about WordPress that I finally got my website set up the right way. I’ll introduce you to her in a bit and other bloggers in a bit.

Anyway, without a budget to play with I couldn’t afford to take an online course about blogging but I met and connected with some fab bloggers and I learned by following their advice.

After a couple of years, I decided to expand that into a multi-niche blog for moms who wanted to make money from home and that’s when Not Now Mom’s Busy  was born.

All that time I was learning the ropes about blogging I also learned how to design websites. And I’m still getting my learn on – I’m taking a course on how to create custom child themes for WordPress but I digress.

I started sharing blogging tips with new bloggers on Not Now Mom’s Busy but last year I decided to put my blogging tips here.

Why Newbie Bloggers?

So why newbie bloggers? Because it’s my turn to pay it forward. If it weren’t for the bloggers who helped me, I don’t know where I would be today. And that’s why I want to help new women bloggers (and you guys too) who are ready to start their own blogging business.

You know the saying – it costs money to make money? While, all that might be true but it doesn’t have to break the bank. That’s why I made sure to make my services affordable. I remember what it was like not being able to afford professional services because they were way out of my price range.

Whether it’s coaching to help you improve your blogging skills, writing content for your blog or helping you design the website you envision, there is passion in every project I do because I treat it as if it were my own!

Before I let you go, here are some resources you will find helpful.

First, I recommend you follow and connect with these top bloggers. I learned a lot from them and I know you’ll learn a lot from them too!
