A Quick Review of 2017 And What’s In Store For 2018

Can you believe this year is almost over? The year 2017 was a quick one. I have to stop and think what I did this year. I don’t even remember what we did for Easter and now the holidays are here!

This is only my third blog post here but it’s the last one for 2017. After today, I’ll be offline for the rest of the year to enjoy the holidays with my family, bake and get my Christmas shopping done.

I’ll also be getting ready for the new year and that’s what I’m really excited about! Sorry fam, you know mama loves you but I’m excited about what’s in store next year – xoxo.

The reason why I called this post a Quick Review of 2017 is because there wasn’t much happening on this site. That is until a couple of months ago.

I took some time off recently after my mother passed away. That time offline gave me a chance to think about the direction I wanted to go as a boss lady. Do I want to blog forever? No, not really. I mean, I love blogging but my passion is really in web design and virtual services.

I’m not retiring my blogging hat just yet – I love the community and there is still stuff to blog about. Not to mention it’s still a great source of income for me, but I decided to kick this business venture into high gear!

In other words, it’s time to get off my a**, kick fear in the face and get my hustle on!

A Look At What’s In Store For 2018

a quick reviewI’ve been blogging about blogging on my other site Not Now Mom’s Busy for about four years now. But since I wanted to give this site more exposure, I decided to bring that niche over to this site and keep NNMB as a work-from-home and mom blog.

So going forward, you’re going to see blog posts like blogging tips, share the latest blogging and social media marketing tools out there, social media tips, email marketing tips, WordPress tips and other topics useful for bloggers and online money makers.

What else is in store? Better web design options. Have you ever wished you could take the features of your favorite themes and put them into one theme? I know I have!

Well, while I’m offline I’m going to take a course to learn how to design custom websites. I’m nervous as crap but I so want to do this! I love the idea of asking my clients which features they would want on their theme and be able to bring it to life for them.

If all goes well, I’ll be including that in my repertoire next year – hashtag goals!

Another thing I’m going to dabble in is stock images.

I could never compete with Haute Stock or Boss Latina. They have a gorgeous stock photo library. Although I’d love to have a stock photo library like them one day, I’m going to start off by offering customized stock photos so that my clients have one of a kind images for their website and niche.

And that is going to tie in with my branding package. I can offer you customized images for your brand.

The best part of all this is my rates are going to be fit any budget!

Other Things In Store For You

I’m also putting a video library together that will be packed with helpful tutorials like how to add customized fonts to your website and other how-to’s to get your learn on.

That’s It

I can’t wait for the new year and I really hope you will be coming along for the ride!
