When you run an online business, you have to be efficient, resourceful and be able to manage your time effectively.
Thankfully there are tons of tools you can use and finding the right tools can make a big difference between working smarter not harder.
But which ones do you use?
12 Essential Tools To Effortlessly Manage Your Online Business
With all the tools out there choosing the right ones can become a task itself so I thought I’d put a list of the tools I personally use to tackle my to-do’s.
If you want your online business to run like a well-oiled machine, you might want to look into these to see if they’re the right ones for you.
Social Media Management Tools
If there is one tool I recommend you invest in, it’s a social media management tool.
Say adios to toggling between tabs on your PC! An SMM tool will help you keep your client’s (and your own) social media profiles organized on one dashboard.
And if you’re going to be curating content or creating social media posts for your clients, you’ll need a social media management tool that will make it easy for you to manage.
I recently changed from Hootsuite Pro to MavSocial and I have to say I really like this tool. I’ll share more about this in an upcoming blog post.
You can manage all your client’s as well as your own social media accounts like moderate comments, create campaigns and you get accurate reporting.
Other features I like about MavSocial are:
- They have a free stock image library
- You can store your own images and videos
- And you can add RSS feeds and sort them by category
For Email Marketing Campaigns
You’ve probably heard the saying “the money is in the list.” Email marketing is a fool-proof way to grow your online business not to mention keep in contact with current as well as former customers so that you stay on their radar.
ConvertKit* was specifically created for onlinepreneurs like you. Create sign-up forms like landing pages, pop-ups or embed a sign up form for your website. And if you’re a WordPress user you can install the ConvertKit plugin to make it even easier to add a form to your posts or pages.
You can also organize multiple lists to ensure you’re sending the right message to the right group. And they have an easy-to-use drag-and-drop sequence builder to help you create personalized, automated messages.
Whether you’re creating images for your own blog or social media posts or for a client, you’ll need an awesome editor to create cool images.
Canva is my favorite and my go-to photo editor. There are many free images and templates you can use and purchasing images will only cost you $1. And when you upgrade you get even more free images, can upload your own fonts and add team members.
PicMonkey* is another photo editor I like to use. It’s great tool to add overlays to images and creating collages. They also have pre-made templates available and PicMonkey’s Photo Touch Up editing makes retouching effortless!
For Social Media Marketing
You can make your own posts using their editor or use one of their many (we’re talking thousands) of templates and graphics for promotions, campaigns as well as engaging posts. And new templates are added every week.
Their scheduler allows you to post when your client’s (or your own) audience is most active on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. And it even suggests what you should post at what time.
To Reach Your Customers
Reach your customers and grow your online business with a chatbot. Chatbots uses AI technology to have a conversation with your visitors or direct them to a particular page or post on your website such as your opt-in page.
For example, with Collect.chat* you can create different message types to drive certain actions from your visitors like leaving their email address, opting in to your mailing list or to leave links to your social media profiles and other contact information.
