5 Ways To Promote Your Brand And Be Seen

5 ways to promote your brand and be seen. #branding

This post was originally published on Not Now Mom’s Busy. The content has been updated for this blog.

Every entrepreneur, mompreneur, and solopreneur knows by now that one of the most important aspects of running a successful online or offline business is promoting their brand.

I’m sure you already know you can promote your brand online like on social media, by hosting giveaways and of course writing awesome content relevant to your brand.

And that’s just naming a few. You can also write a guest post for other blogs in your niche or you can go for the big time and write for sites like Forbes.

If you can consistently do these things it won’t be long before people will start to recognize who you are when they see your name or logo.

5 Ways To Promote Your Brand

When you’re running an online business, it’s only natural to think all things online when you’re coming up with a marketing plan to promote your brand.

But why stop there when you can also promote your brand to the brick and mortar businesses, too.

Here are five other ways to promote your brand to increase visibility online and offline. Whether a potential client is opening a letter or email, you want your brand to pop out so they remember who you are.

Email

When emailing potential clients for their business, make sure your email is set-up. Meaning, you’re email address contains your website’s name like cori@corinaramos.net.

Be sure to use a black font. And stick to readable fonts – I love a Century Gothic font myself.

Also, be sure to include a professional email signature. You can create one for free using an email signature generator that works with different email service providers.

Letterhead

If you’re going to mail out pitch letters, make a great first impression with a professional letterhead.  A letterhead is the first thing a potential client sees so you want it to say, hey this is me, who I am and where you can find me!

In other words, if you make a letterhead for your business be sure it includes your brand’s logo, tagline, business name, web address, and phone number. And don’t forget to use your brand’s color palette.

Here’s a video tutorial that will show you how to create a professional-looking letterhead using Word 2010 or 2013.

Business Cards

Another way to promote your brand is on business cards. If you have design skills, you can buy blank business cards at any office supply store and print them off at home. Or, you can go to sites like Vista Print choose a template, fill out the info you want on your business card and have them design it for you.

Why business cards you might ask? Picture it: let’s say you’re networking with folks about your business – which I’ll cover in the next section.

But anyway, in the middle of your networking you’re going on about your business – you really have their ear when all of a sudden they ask for your business card.

Queue dramatic music here!

The last thing you want to happen is to get caught up in a conversation about your business only to say “shewt, I don’t have one on me” when someone – who could be a potential client – asks you for your business card.

Not the first impression you want to make, right?

Hangout in Your Community

Business networking is still one of the most beneficial ways to promote your brand. Which is why if you’ve been to a networking event, it’s packed with people.

Now I don’t know if you’ve noticed this or not but on your WordPress dashboard, there is a section called WordPress Events and News. You can find local meet-ups in your area. Just take a look at the events coming in up Houston and surrounding areas.

And the referrals you get through networking can become your client! You can find events happening in your city on sites like Eventbrite. And take those business cards with you!

Invoices

Okay, so you landed a client, produced a kick-a** product and now you’re ready to invoice your client to pay you for your services.

Make a final impression with your client by sending a professional invoice that includes what you have on your letterhead, logo, address, website, etc.

You can create a professional invoice template on Invoice Home. They have over 100 templates or you can use your own invoice and upload your logo. And you can download invoices as PDFs or email them.

It’s got other features too like auto numbering and you can copy invoices to save time.

There is even a template for quotes, estimates, and receipts – all with your brand’s logo printed on it.

They’re templates also supports over 150 currency symbols and it’s compatible with online payment platforms like Paypal and Authorize.net so clients have more than one option to pay.

And when you create an account on Invoice Home, you can keep track of all your overdue, unpaid and paid invoices in one place.

Over to You

Remember, it’s all about branding. So your letterhead, email signature card, business cards and invoice templates should have the same logo, font, color, and contact information.

Well, I hope this post sparked an idea or to for promoting your brand. If you can add anything to this list, please share it in the comments below!

Oh and I would really appreciate it if you’d share this post on social media.

Hi Cori, great tips! I do my logo on my invoices and didn’t realize why until I read this. I just thought it looked good – LOL. Hanging out in the community is key too. I have mostly local accounts but some from around the world too. Promoting takes a lot of time so the more you can do it right the more time it can save you.
Thanks for the tips here Cori and have a terrific Thursday!

Yes, I totally agree with what you said. I think that a business owner must have his business card all the time so that when someone ask for it he’ll be able to have one to give them. I also think that even though it’s one of the old way, it still is an effective way to promote a business. Thanks for sharing this article.
